Young People and Volunteering Forum

Tuesday 4th December 2012 10.00am – 12.00pm

Young people (14-17yrs) and young adults (18-25yrs) have much to give to our organisations – so… how can we encourage and support them as volunteers? 

This forum will focus on sharing good practice and learning about:

§       The contributions young people and young adults can bring to an organisation – long term and short term benefits

§       Understanding what motivates young people and young adults to volunteer

§       Developing and advertising appropriate volunteering opportunities

§       Tasks and responsibilities they can be given and enjoy doing

§       Supporting young people and young adult volunteers

This forum provides space for Volunteer Coordinators and Managers in Lewisham to discuss issues relating to volunteering, provide opportunities for networking and for gaining new ideas to help resolve issues regarding volunteering and developing your organisation.
