In this exhibition wearable soft sculptures will become immersive sonic and tactile environments, activated by the haptic explorations of the visitors. Invisible electromagnetic fields will transform inert liquids into moving, semi-solid textural surfaces, revealing the power of invisible forces to the human eye. In the opening event Francesca will be exploring and explaining the methods and media she uses and the influence of her varied background in textiles and responsive materials on her artistic practice. Part of the event will be a hands on workshop where participants will become the artist, scientist or alchemist discovering the wonders of everyday materials.
