On Friday 11 January 2013 St Catherine’s is hosting BBC Radio 4s Any Questions?

Currently 1.5 million people listen to the programme each week.
On the panel:

Tickets are FREE. If you would like to request a ticket please email revsheridanjames@gmail.com. No one person can ask for more than two tickets. Tickets are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

St Catherine’s church is situated at the junction of Kitto Road and Pepys Road, SE14 5TY. There is plenty of free street parking. The nearest train stations are New Cross Gate or Nunhead.
Doors will be open from 6pm and you will need to be seated by 7.15pm. We look forward to welcoming you to Any Questions on Friday 11th January 2013.

Ukulele Carol Jam
Hosted by Sheridan James (Uke Playing Rev)

Thursday 13 December, Hill Station Cafe

4pm-5pm Kids’ Jam – 4-12 year olds.

8pm Young people and Adult Jam

Bring your ukulele, or your voice, or a small percussion instrument and let’s thrash out some carols together! No experience necessary!

Candle-Lit Carol Service
Sunday 16 December at 6pm
Carols, readings and live music followed by mince pies and mulled wine.

It’s a Wonderful Life
Wednesday 19December at 7.30pm
FREE screening of this classic Christmas movie in the atmospheric surroundings of St Catherine’s church.  Mulled wine and other drinks on sale. This event is suitable for children over the age of 10.

Family-friendly service to get you in the mood for the big day.

Crib Service
Monday 24 December 4pm
A fun, interactive service for all the family. Children are invited to come dressed as a Nativity character and help build the
Christmas Crib together.

Midnight Mass
Monday 24 December 11pm
Traditional candlelit communion service with carols and soloists

Christmas Day
8am  Holy Communion– An intimate service in traditional language.
10am Sung Eucharist with carols
Come and celebrate the birth of Jesus

New Year’s Eve Watchnight Service
10.30pm     A special service of thanks and prayer for the New Year
