On 30th and 31st October, Kat Drake from Common Growth is putting on a half-term music composing and film making workshop for 6-11 year olds at Heber School in East Dulwich, with a very talented musician and very experienced music teacher (who has also worked for the BBC and the Barbican managing music education projects), Catherine Burgis. The cost of the workshop is £65 per child for the two days and every child gets a DVD of the film and music we all make to take home with them. There’ll also be a screening of the film for parents at the end of the second day with spooky treats decorated by the younger kids.

This is a community performance opportunity and is based on Lewisham Way just outside the Goldsmiths Library. There is a mini Street Stage and Artmongers are now accepting entries for the performance program. Contact artmongers.studio@gmail.com if you would like to join in. Singers, musicians, poets, social commentators, storytellers, jugglers, acrobats, dancers… if you can do it in public on 4 square metres of stage you’re welcome to apply. More info at http://newxing.wordpress.com/. Volunteers also needed for the flashmob event on Sep 29th.
A small amount of money is available for costs you might incur (eg costumes, props).
