Thanks to the generosity of local people and two significant external grants from The
Garfield Weston Foundation and Lewisham Social Enterprise we have raised an additional £23K towards the next stage of the building of The Hill Station Community Cafe. This means that this autumn we will start digging out the second half of the undercroft space and lay a new thermal floor so we can extend the space and prepare for phase III of the cafe development. This is such good news and we are so grateful to all of you who have supported the development of this important community asset.

In preparation for this building work we are organising a special volunteer morning on Saturday 1^st October from 9am – 2pm. If you are around and want to come up to help for an hour or discuss with us the next stages of the project you’d be so welcome. There will be a yard sale of some of the furniture which was donated but not used. More info here Poster for Bold Vision volunteering day – 1st October 2011
