Common Growth update

100_3709.jpgThe flowers continue to blossom this month including even more sunflowers and visitors impressed – one came all the way from Camberwell recently and another returning after 3 April open day visit said it looked “amazing”.

Veg is flourishing in the one completed raised bed which was filled late July.

Stella at Lewisham council has seen recent photos and is very impressed and keen to visit in September. See some of them yourself

We also have a number of keen volunteer supporters now who are providing more free plants (and we’re collecting seeds also from our existing “free” growth) – more proof that beautiful things can come at no cost.  Even met our local police for the first time day after Peckham/Lewisham riots and explained the benefits of the project so far at a time when everyone was on edge.
